Unspecified write in station codes

In the RLD test data that was issued today, data for unspecified codes such as "Clyde" or "Capital" do not appear. Instead they have been recoded to 997 or 998, the standard "Other BBC Local" and "Other ILR" codes. This is because the control files as issued at Q4 2006 don't include details of these unspecified codes. Therefore it was important that the station codes on the test data matched the list on the Q4 control files. All of the standard write in codes were recoded in the correct way to the normal analogue code.

This method of dealing with this data could be used in future releases to prevent the proliferation of station codes. Any comments on this issue are welcome. --Tony 15:36, 2 Apr 2007 (BST)
